GunRunner Boutique Hotel

The rooms are thoughtfully designed and beautifully furnished. Everything about this hotel is swanky and interesting. The bar and parlor are cleverly placed in the center of the small hotel, so you walk right through lively gatherings as you walk to and from your room. The bar is a fabulous place to meet friends for craft cocktails. We will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our Anniversary. There was absolutely no indication of where to park or how to get into the hotel. We wanted a quiet evening to ourselves and that is not what we got. The bar above was so loud. Even after closing the upstairs had lots of movement on into the morning hours. We went ahead and got up, but had to go elsewhere for breakfast because the coffee shop didn’t open until 8. We went to the BBB located below the Stricklin(which is where we will be staying from now on) Also the floors had holes where the bed frame had fell through. There was no coffee pot in the room as advertised and the so called luxury toiletries seemed to have been re-used. The molding and the ac/heat unit had caked on dust and the ac/heat did not work properly nor did the fan in the bathroom. No full length mirror to get ready. Was really hoping this would become our go to spot but unfortunately we will keep looking.

Stayed here for our wedding weekend and absolutely loved everything about it. The room was gorgeous and very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the local toiletry products smelled amazing, the bar area was great, and we loved Turbo Coffee downstairs (went about 4x in one day). The bar staff and the manager, Chris, were super accommodating and friendly, they even let us have about 20 people hang out in the lounge area to eat takeout pizza and drink at the bar when our original rehearsal dinner location fell through. Quick and easy walk to more downtown restaurants. Super cozy, aesthetic, and romantic stay, we can't wait to come back!

The rooms are pretty . However, I’m here for business and at 9am today there was banging all over that woke me up . The banging continued for hours as the hotel was hanging some art. It would have been great to have a heads up the day before or some fort of apology which never happened . It continued up to 3 pm. The AC stopped working . I spoke to one of the bartenders who came into my room and checked out and was supposed to follow up but never did . Temperature outside was 99 degrees. I decided to climb on top of chairs took the matter into my own hands and was able to personally solve it. Then around 330 pm they had a party and music playing right outside of my door. I opened my room door and there was a guy singing right there and 15-20 people right in front of my door . I decided enough was enough and decided to leave and find something else to do. I was exhausted and truly just wanted and needed to rest as we all should be able to do in a hotel room but was unable to . Upon my return, there was not a single parking spot available . The parking spots are supposed to be for hotel guests but because of the party there was not a single spot available in the lot or street. I approached the bartender to discuss it with him and he told me to go find parking elsewhere and he walked away. I left once again as there was not a single parking available. Remind you, I’m staying here and here for business. I return at 1020pm and was able to find parking . Walked to my room to take a snooze but the music is now playing so loud and no care for the hotel guests. So yes it is a fun place to visit but I would never ever recommend it as a place to elope and have a quiet time .

Has it all. Location. Vibes. Clean. Nice and friendly staff. Price was worth it. Bar is nice and clean and very chill and accessible. Cute coffee shop downstairs. I was only sad I thought I got a room with a tub but it wasn’t the right one (I didn’t complain because our room was still awesome with a huge nice tile shower) I know for next time to request that room because we will be back!

We went here for an anniversary trip and had an amazing time! We stayed in the muscle shoals room and it was beautiful. The hotel is conveniently located to local restaurants and bars. This hotel has its own bar, rooftop bar, coffee shop, and spa so you can find enjoyment by staying in as well! Our bartender Amanda went above and beyond during our stay to make sure we felt welcome! The amenities in the room were great - Keurig coffee, toiletries from a local shop which smelled so great I went to purchase some, the bed was very comfortable, and the balcony was a great size to enjoy our morning cup of coffee! Quick note - the AC unit condensates when turned off and on so we recommend leaving it on the entire time of your stay to avoid the unit condensation. We will definitely be back!

We LOVED our stay! The room was beautiful and we really enjoyed our bartender. It was so cool to have the bar just outside of our room for these weary travelers. We loved that. The room was super cute. We ended up staying in the Muscle Shoals room instead of the 2 bedroom setup due to plumbing issues, but we were happy. Only suggestion is that extra sheets should have been obviously provided. We had to use the pullout and didn't notice that sheets were not in the room until after the bartender had left. We had to improvise and use blankets. Other than that, we had a great time! We would definitely stay again. It was a lovely experience.

Looking for a unique place to celebrate our anniversary, we found it in the Gun Runner. What a special gem of a hotel. The room was beautiful and a unique change from the regular chain hotels. The decor and atmosphere was rustic elegant. Each room has its own private balcony which was a nice surprise. I received a text upon check in and was able to ask a question via text and got a quick response. Definitely will stay here again and will recommend to all.
